Etta James cancels entire tour due to illness

Due to an illness, Etta James was forced to cancel her entire tour--including the concert at The Music Hall on August 5. However, the Neville Brothers will be appearing on August 4 in the Intimately Yours series.

"While we were saddened to learn of Etta James' illness and cancellation, we're thrilled that New Orleans first family of funk will be riding to the rescue. As many people know, the Nevilles own the closing set of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. To have these four brothers — Aaron, Art, Charles and Cyril – on our stage will be an honor. I'm already imagining Aaron Neville's voice with our superior acoustics. Don't miss the Nevilles ' Telling it like it is' on Tuesday August 4th!" said Patricia Lynch, executive director of The Music Hall.
